SPRING 2026 HIGH SCHOOL ART SHOW OPEN CALL IS LIVE.

We’re inviting 11th and 12th grade artists to apply for our High School Exhibition opening May 16 in Downtown Los Angeles.

This is part of Shafranski Art Foundation’s Introduction to the Professional Art World program — a stepping stone for students interested in pursuing a career in art.

Selected students will:

  • Exhibit their work in a professional DTLA gallery alongside peers

  • Participate in 1–2 virtual classes covering real-world topics like finance, networking, and creative career paths

  • Attend an in-person opening with family, friends, and art world professionals

  • Leave with a completed exhibition to include on their CV

It’s a direct, real introduction to how the art world actually works.

IPAW #4! Student Show submissions are live and will close on June 13, 2025. Any Junior/Senior high school artists based in Southern California are encouraged to apply. Winners will be announced in June for July 2025 Group Exhibition.

Introduction to the Professional World is an online 2 week course, followed but a group exhibition at our gallery space in Downtown, Los Angeles.

Introduction to the Professional Art World

We are happy to present our 6th high school student art exhibition. This exhibition will be held at an up and coming gallery in Downtown Los Angeles, and include a group of junior & senior artists from local high schools. This program includes is by a 2-week course on how to prepare for an upcoming exhibition. The course will cover basic necessities for a professional artist (ie. CV, artist statement, biography, etc.)
